This NHL Goalie Survived Having His Throat Cut? Could You?

Having your throat cut is survivable as long as you don’t exsanguinate (bleed out) completely.

Check out Clint Malarchuk. Clint was an NHL goalie who had his throat cut by another players skate.

OUCH!

A Veteran and former Army Medic rushed to Clint’s side. That medic jammed his fingers into the wound, subsequently pinching off the carotid artery and/or the jugular vein to slow the bleeding.

This life saving act allowed the LUCKY goalie to be rushed to higher medical care and receive emergency surgery.

You can see a video clip of the game here: Warning, It’s Bloody!

So yes, it is possible to survive having your throat cut.

Just ask Clint!

I hope this helps!

P.S. What would you do in this situation?  Do you have items on your person, right now, that could help a friend or family member if they were severely cut?

Why are Deliveries so slow on Wish?

More than likely, your product order on wish comes from a vendor who is “dropshipping” their product from overseas.

Dropshipping is a form of e-commerce internet marketing where the vendor “buys” the product through their discount supplier or direct from the factory AFTER you have bought the product from the vendor at a storefront price.

Dropshipping cuts out multiple layers of middle men, and can save you some cash when buying from these vendors or “dropshippers”.

Suppliers and Factories are primarily in China, but Vietnam, India, the Phillipines, and many other countries can be “dropshipped” from.

To sum up, your product on wish probably isn’t “in stock” with the vendor and is sent via “epacket” from overseas to your door once you order.

I have personally seen this type of order arrive in as little a 7 days from order to delivery at the front door.

I have also seen it take as long as 35 days.

The average ship time is typically 18–21 days.

This type of E-commerce business has become very lucrative and some people are making an amazing amount of income on sites like Wish, Amazon, and even on their own personal websites.

What are some of the disadvantages of eco friendly gardening?

Eco friendly garden can have some disadvantages if you’re not careful.

Specifically, what problems can arise when composting, using plastic bottles as planters or potters, and while using reclaimed lumber in raised beds?
  1. Composting-
Composting is a great thing to do. You can control what you put into your compost pile as well as determine items you want to keep out.
Problems can arise when you’re a “lazy” composter.
Compost bins and piles should be “turned” often to keep oxygen flowing for the aerobic bacteria that help break down your compost materials.
Not turning may allow anaerobic bacteria to flourish, possibly making your compost unhealthy for some plants and vegetables.
2. Plastic Bottles as Potters-
The type of plastic in your bottle planter could affect your plants and their seeds and fruits. Chemicals in the plastic could leech into the soil and the plant as well.
Consider using “food grade” bottles and buckets that don’t contain BPA an other nasty chemicals
3. Reclaimed Lumber-
Some types of reclaimed lumber have been exposed to known and unknown hazards and chemicals in their lifetime.
For example, reused wood pallets are often used to move caustic items that may have spillage. This spillage (potential noxious chemicals) wouldn’t be known to you.
When using the reclaimed pallet lumber in a planter box, you may not know the effect on your tomato plants and later on the fruits themselves.
Consider using pallets where you know the origin or the company involved (or use new wood or another source of known reclaimed lumber for this purpose)

Is It Possible To Blog For Free?

Yes, it is possible to “blog for free”

We also have to beware that free doesn’t always mean “easy”, nor is free always “the best” way to go about doing something.

(check out this list of free blogging platforms below)

There are plenty of places where you can blog for free without worrying about having to pay fees ever.

Typically free platforms are simple to use, and look fairly simple as well.  So you do lose some design functionality with a free blogging website… this is done because they want you to upgrade to a flashier “prettier” (read: paid) version at some point.

If you don’t care if you have the latest, greatest, coolest looking website… a free blogging site might be a perfect match for you.

Sign up for one and get your words out there!  You can always transition to an upgraded version later if you outgrow your free platform.

Top FREE Blogging Platforms List:

1.  Tumblr - Tumblr.com
2.  Blogger - Blogger.com
3.  Wordpress - Wordpress.com
4.  Wix - wix.com
5.  Weebly - weebly.com
